FAQ – Your Questions Answered

Still on the fence? We’ve got answers.

Whether you’re a parent, a teen or an adult beginner, here are the questions we’re asked most often before people walk through our door.

I’ve never done a combat sport, is this for me?

Yes. The vast majority of our members had no martial arts experience before starting. No sporting or martial arts background is required: training adapts to each person’s age and fitness level from the very first class.

Do I need to be fit before I start?

No. Our approach is progressive: training adapts to each person’s age, fitness and ability. Fitness is built through practice, not a prerequisite.

Will Krav Maga make my child more violent?

No, quite the opposite. Confidence-building is part of our teaching method, without making children aggressive. We teach them to adapt to each situation and manage conflict rather than provoke it — stress and emotional management is just as central to our approach as the physical side.

Is there a class suited to my age?

Yes. Groups are organised by age and level: kids aged 6–10, kids aged 11–14, teens from age 15, and adults. Teens and adults are further split into a beginner group and an advanced group, each with its own schedule. See the schedule by group →

I’m a beginner, will I end up training with advanced practitioners?

No. Teen and adult beginners have a dedicated class (6–7 pm on Mondays and Thursdays), separate from the advanced class (8–9.30 pm). You progress at your own pace, surrounded by people at a comparable level.

Does the first class commit me to anything?

No, absolutely nothing. The first class is completely free and commits you to nothing. Afterwards, you decide, if you wish, whether to join the club. Learn more about the trial class →

What should I bring to the first class?

Comfortable sportswear and trainers are enough — no specific equipment is required for the first class. Protective gear (groin guard, mouthguard) is only needed once you enrol long-term. See gear and equipment details →

What happens if I miss a class?

Thanks to our QR code system, if you miss a class you can make it up any time during your subscription — nothing is lost.

What’s the commitment if I sign up after the trial?

For kids, enrolment runs on an annual basis, from date to date. For teens and adults, you choose the plan that suits you: term, semester or annual. You can also pay per class if your availability is irregular. See all pricing →

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes, private lessons are available if you’d like to work on a specific goal, at your own pace with personalised coaching. Learn more about private lessons →
